Search Engine Optimization
What does Organic Search mean? Where can I find it?
Some refer to it as Natural Search, Classic Search, but most (including us) refer to it as Organic Search. It is simply the area below the Local Search that rank websites in order of relevance and authority. Here is a quick look at the Organic Search area for storage in Sacramento, CA:

This is what made Google the company it is, it all started with Organic Search. It is normally located below the Local Search (map) and to the left of Paid Search.
How do the search engines rank websites?
Google, Bing/MSN/Live, Yahoo, et. al. use a complex algorithm to rank websites according to how relevant it is to the search terms used by the searcher as well as what the authority of the website is. Public Storage has a high authority within the storage industry and as such often shows high within the Organic Search results. Ineedstorage.com, our California advertising website, has a high authority and often ranks at the top of the Organic Search results many times outranking Public Storage. Relevance and Authority is the name of the game for ranking your website.
How do I get a higher ranking?
Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the standard phrase used when you’re looking to rank your website at the top of the Organic Search. We have the experience and knowledge to achieve the optimization required to rank your website at the top of the search results. There are many pros and cons to Search Engine Optimization, many discussed within the video above, but the cons are extremely important to pay attention to. If you choose a search marketing firm that is offering the same services at a fraction of the rate to others there is a reason. And a poorly executed SEO plan can lead to wasted money, penalties, and even blacklisting your website which simply means your website wont ever be displayed within the Organic Search results.
